Planting the Seeds of Sustainability in Denver (DVD)
Michele Weingarden

In this high-energy presentation, Greenprint Denver Director Michele Weingarden describes how the city’s official Greenprint program engages residents and businesses in a wide range of initiatives to make Denver a healthier, greener and more sustainable place to live, work and play.

Appointed Director of Greenprint Denver in 2007 by Mayor John Hickenlooper, Michelle Weingarden brings a wealth of political and environmental experience to her position. Before coming to Denver, she served as an advisor to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer on environmental issues throughout California and as the Senator’s liaison to nine northern California counties. Prior to that, Weingarden served as Senior Account Executive for Stearns Consulting, running local political campaigns. She also spent many years with environmental non-profit organizations implementing issue campaigns for Save The Bay and the Sierra Club; and she served as a Board member of the San Francisco League of Conservation Voters.
