EarthWorks Expo is Denver’s premier annual festival of green living. Our mission is to promote sustainable quality of life and economic vitality for the citizens and small businesses of Denver Metro, Boulder and the Front Range by advancing green values, knowledge and practical solutions in the areas of renewable energy, green building, green transportation, sustainable agriculture, resource conservation, environmental stewardship and Earth-friendly consumer behavior.
Denver’s 3rd annual EarthWorks Expo took place August 22-23, 2009 at the Merchandise Mart. Our 140 exhibitors represented a Who’s Who of Colorado-based green businesses and advocacy organizations. The Expo featured 49 workshops, including our new Green Careers Forum, a seven-workshop series produced in cooperation with the ReDirect Guide to assist participants in understanding the many opportunities to be found in Colorado’s growing green economy. Our EarthKids area featured a full schedule of green learning activities for children, including live animal presentations by Denver Zoo and the Butterfly Pavilion. The Expo also featured keynote addresses by Albert Bates and Woody Tasch, organic and locally grown food, and live entertainment by Colorado musicians Jack Hadley and Jennifer Friedman. Over 3000 people took part in the 2-day event.
Denver’s 4th annual EarthWorks Expo takes place May 22-23, 2010 at the Merchandise Mart.
